Unaprol (Italian Olive Oil Consortium) and France Olive (French Interprofessional Olive Association) are two leading organizations representing the production and trade of European extra virgin olive oil.

Through a program supported by the European Union, Unaprol and France Olive have launched a joint communication initiative to promote the use of certified geographically indicated extra virgin olive oil in cooking. This program aims to raise awareness among restaurant professionals and consumers about the EU’s quality standards and the distinctive features of DOP and IGP products.

The goal of encouraging informed choices in the consumption of high-quality olive oil creates an opportunity to explore the different flavours and aromas of the vast world of olive oils and their potential culinary pairings and uses. By delivering efficient and in-depth communication targeted at gastronomy professionals and restaurant operators, we aim to bring this valuable food resource closer to the public and spark interest among new consumers.
